Vox Ama Deus, founded in 1987, is a Philadelphia-based musical organization led by its founder Valentin Radu. It specializes in authentic performances of vocal, choral and instrumental music of the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical periods. Vox Ama Deus consists of three sister groups. VOX RENAISSANCE CONSORT performs the works of the fifteenth through the seventeenth centuries with period instruments and in Renaissance costumes. The chorus and orchestra of the AMA DEUS ENSEMBLE focus on Baroque and Classical music periods. CAMERATA AMA DEUS is a chamber size professional orchestra performing wide range of Early music repertoire. Vox Ama Deus musicians are trained in early performance practice and authentic vocal style. These award winning musicians can be heard at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (260 S. Broad Street) and other locations.
