A 1,500-seat venue that stages more than 100 performances a year, providing everything from family entertainment and opera to Broadway and comedy. The Center for the Arts also includes The Gallery (a contemporary art gallery space) and the Acopian Ballroom. The State Theatre produces the FREDDY Awards program, highlighting achievement in local high school musicals, which includes an Emmy award-winning television show broadcast live on WFMZ Channel 69 every May.
