The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society (PCMS) is one of the largest, most accessible music presenting forums in the United States. Founded in 1986, the PCMS offers more than 60 concerts a year by world-class artists, mostly held at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Audiences can enjoy the world's most exceptional chamber ensembles, pianists, singers, string players, jazz artists, and special musical attractions. Through its education program, PCMS offers pre-concert lectures, workshops, master classes, children's concerts, and a student ticket fund. Over the years, PCMS has remained committed to its founding principles: to enable people from all walks of life to enjoy exceptional music-making at affordable ticket prices, to fulfill musical needs of the community, and to build a broad group of directors, staff members, audiences, and patrons who are devoted to these goals and to insuring the Society's future.
