"Jacob's Choice" in the Amish Experience Theater is the emotional story of the Fisher family and their struggle to preserve their traditions and faith. The third experiential theater built in North America, the barn setting places the viewer in the story, with five projection screens, Pepper's Ghost, and special effects, including wind and rain in the theater. From the persecution of the Anabaptist forefathers in Europe to young Jacob's choice to become Amish or live in the "outside world," the unforgettable story of this Amish family is a window into what it means to be Amish today. It is an emotional journey with which visitors can identify, and has been called "400 years of history in 40 minutes of magic.". Shows run on the hour from 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week. Packages including the Amish Country Homestead and Amish Farmlands Tours are also available.
