Tobyhanna State Park is in scenic Monroe and Wayne counties in northeastern Pennsylvania. The 5,440-acre park includes the 170-acre Tobyhanna Lake. Boats with electric motors only are permitted. From Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, concessions rent rowboats, canoes, and paddleboats by the hour. During this time the swimming beach is also open from 8 a.m. until sunset. A 140-site camping area is available from the first weekend in April to mid-December. Rustic toilets and hand operated water pumps are provided. Playgrounds are provided. A dump station is located along the camping area entrance road. Hikers will enjoy the 5.25-mile woodland hike around Tobyhanna Lake. This trail is also suitable for bicycling.
