The Moshannon Forest District is known for its sightseeing opportunities. With 244 miles of hiking trails, visitors can see the various types of plants that grow in the district and spot wildlife, including elk, deer, birds, and foxes. Several of these trails are also open to mountain biking and horse riding. A handful of creeks run through the forest, which are open to fishing.
