When the Kinzua Bridge was built in 1881, it was the world's highest and longest railroad bridge at 301 feet tall and 2,053 feet long. The viaduct is a National Historic Place. Today, park visitors can view remains of the historic viaduct, hit broadside by a tornado in July 2003.
