Visitors can explore the world, through time and across the continents, at the internationally renowned Penn Museum (University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology). Three gallery floors feature extraordinary art and culture from ancient Egypt, the Near East, Africa, Asia, the ancient Mediterranean world and the Americas, as well as changing exhibitions, including "In the Artifact Lab: Conserving Egytian Mummies," a part exhibition, part working laboratory.

Founded in 1887, the Penn Museum is an internationally renowned educational and research institution dedicated to the understanding of cultural diversity anf the exploration of the history of humankind. In its more than 125-year history, the Penn Museum has sent more than 300 research expeditions around the world, and collected nearly  one million objects, many obtained directly through its own field excavations or anthropological research. The Museum features gift shops, verdant inner gardens, and a Museum Cafe.
