Visitors can explore the world, through time and across the continents, at the internationally renowned Penn Museum (University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology). Three gallery floors feature extraordinary art and culture from ancient Egypt, the Near East, Africa, Asia, the ancient Mediterranean world and the Americas, as well as changing exhibitions. "MAYA 2012: Lords of Time," a world premiere exhibition, is on view now through January 13, 2013.

Founded in 1887, Penn Museum is an internationally renowned educational and research institution dedicated to the understanding of cultural diversity anf the exploration of the history of humankind. In its 125-year history, the Penn Museum has sent more than 400 research expeditions around the world, and collected over one million objects, many obtained directly through its own field excavations or anthropological research. The Museum features two gift shops, verdant inner gardens and a Museum Cafe.
