Palmerton Area Heritage Center

410 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, PA 18071-1909 GET DIRECTIONS
Local: 610-824-6954
The Center provides a history of the Palmerton area from pre-Revolutionary war times to the present. It emphasises the role played by the immigrants who helped The New Jersey Zinc Company found the town in 1898 and who worked to make the company a world leader in Research & Development and production of zinc metal and zinc products. In recent years the community has shed much of its industrial character and has become a bedroom community in the Greater Lehigh Valley. The Heritage Center is also home to the Palmerton Area Chamber of Commerce.
