Located in the historic Borough of Milford, called "the prettiest county seat in America" by Atlantic Magazine, The Columns Museum is the home of the Pike County Historical Society. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm during July and August, and open on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday the other months of the year. Two floors of exhibits, including the famous "bloody Lincoln flag" upon which the slain President's head was believed to have rested after his assassination, a collection of personal effects of Charles Sanders Peirce, the pragmatist, mathematician and philosopher, an extensive collection of 19th century clothing and much more.
