On Oscar weekend 2015 CCHS opened an exciting exhibit of memorabilia representing more than 160 movies from the mid-1950s to early 1970s. Most of the movies, though, are features from the 1960s. All of it was collected by Steve (Mr. Movie) and Michell Friedman. This private collection is a fascinating and reflective journey into the recent past. This stunning array of posters, press books, toys and other movie memorabilia offer a colorful look into our world of entertainment and social change. Movies are windows into the national psyche. They capture the issues of the day and also reveal how movie-makers influenced the public.
