The Butler County Historical Society operates several museums depicting life in Butler County during various time periods. The Society also offers assistance for researchers and geneologists and preserves Butler County's rich heriatge through four historic sites: Butler County Heritage Center, Cooper Cabin Pioneer Homestead, Little Red School House and Lowrie/Shaw House. Also, has a research library and sells local history publications. Research assistance, historical souvenirs and event information weekdays 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
