York

The White Rose City of York is where the Continental Congress adopted the Articles of Confederation, our nation's first constitution, in 1777. York is the home of Harley-Davidson's Vehicle Operations, the company's largest facility at more than 230 acres. Visitors can tour the shop and learn how motorcycles are made. York is also the headquarters of the York Barbell Company, which has a museum dedicated to the weighty pursuit of strength. A performing arts center, 24 parks, two farmers' markets, and a symphony orchestra offer visitors plenty to do and see. York is the birthplace of the iron steamboat and the coal-burning locomotive.
