A gallery of the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art features train and nature photography, and the Altoona Railfest provides long and short excursions. The area features plenty of lodging, shopping, and outdoor fun for tourists.

Bikers in the Tour de Toona
Serious biking, in Altoona?

Submitted by: Jeremy
Last summer I had to go to Altoona for work. I'd been there before so I wasn't expecting anything exciting. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled into one of the largest pro cycling events in the country. It was quite a spectacle. If you ever find yourself near Altoona in August, I highly recommend you check it out!
