The Oil Heritage Region in northwest Pennsylvania invites you to "Grab Life by the Trails." We have biking/hiking trails, fishing trails, geocaching trails, nature and history trails. Nestled in the foothills of the Alleghenies, we are located less than 100 miles from either Erie or Pittsburgh.
Visitors come from across the country to bike and hike on our 65+ miles of paved trails. Fish, canoe, or kayak on one of our water trails, including the Allegheny River and its tributaries.
Our geocaching trail is second-to-none! The Allegheny GeoTrail is a family favorite with caches hidden throughout the region. Earn a Geocoin by finding just six caches. More information can be found at www.alleghenygeotrail.com
Our history trail includes several unique museums, including Drake Well Museum and Park. Ride the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad through "the valley that changed the world."
