Indiana County, Pennsylvania, located in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains just one hour east of Pittsburgh and Punxsutawney's neighbor is home to 64 miles of Rails to Trails, Indiana University of Pennsylvania; recipient of 2014 Governor's Awards for the Arts, Amish community of Smicksburg as well as offering a wealth of history ranging from the Underground Railroad to our very own Hollywood Actor, Jimmy Stewart.

An extensive rails to trails system, connects the Ghost Town, Hoodlebug and West Penn Trails with over 64 of uninterrupted miles of riding.   Tucked away in a secluded section of Northern Indiana County is the community of Smicksburg, home to over 400 Old Order Amish families offering beautiful rolling farmlands, the clatter of horses pulling buggies, shopping in the quaint Amish shops and local award winning wineries and distilleries. Indiana County, aka, Christmas Tree Capital of the World hosts a series of events throughout the region during the holidays.
