This 18th and 19th Century Village includes preserved ruins of first military hospital built in America. Built in 1777, the hospital was chief medical facility for the Valley Forge encampment. Also site of an 18th Century Mineral Water Spa, the Landscape school for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a movie studio. Patty Duke, Robert Lansing, Lee Meriwether and Steve McQueen began their film careers in this studio. Office open Monday -Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Guided tours available with advanced reservations. Grounds open free of charge for picnicking and self-guided tours.
