On May 19, Eisenhower National Historic Site and the Gettysburg Foundation will host a day of 1950s culture featuring the dramatic program, Mamie Remembers Gettysburg, a 1950s Fashion Show and a formal tea, new this year. The 30-minute program will be at 10:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., suitable for all ages and included in site admission.The Victory Society will present fashion show entitled, Fashions of the Fifties, at 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. The narrated fashion show will feature styles for men, women and children in both casual clothes and formal attire. The Gettysburg Foundation is offering a formal tea at the event, under a tent on the south lawn. The tea with Mamie, portrayed by McIlhenny, will feature traditional cucumber tea sandwiches, along with ham salad on seeded rye, pineapple and walnut cream cheese on wheat and chicken salad on white. The vintage tea menu also includes a variety deserts and beverages. Admission: $7.50 adults, $5.00 children ages 6-12. The tea is $17.50.
