Spectacularly situated on a bluff overlooking the Susquehanna River and the Blue Mountain Range, this 40 acre park invites visitors to relax and explore Pennsylvania history. Professionally guided tours of the elegantly restored Mansion House look back in time to sophisticated country living in the 19th century. Fort Hunter Park offers picnic pavilions, play equipment, free walking tour brochures, river front walk, and a Pennsylvania Canal trail. The exteriors of other restored structures, including the Centennial Barn, Tavern House, Stone Stables, ice house, spring house, and a covered bridge can also be viewed. Special annual events such as Fort Hunter Day in September and Christmas at Fort Hunter in December add seasonal interest. Open April - December Tues.-Sat.: 10-4:30pm and Sun.: Noon-4:30pm
