Erected in 1894, this monument marks the site of a cherry tree that was an important landmark for travelers in the 1770s. The tree was also a boundary marker in treaties between the Iroquois and Pennsylvania's colonial government. The park where the monument is located offers picnic tables. Visitors can purchase made-to-order sandwiches at Fye's Corner Market and Tri-County to eat at the picnic tables.
