Dramatic and exciting are words that describe the new Palmer Museum of Art, designed by internatonally acclaimed architect Charles W. Moore in association with Arbonies King Vlock. Opened in 1993, its galleries present selections from a permanent collection which comprises thrity-five centuries of painting, sculpture, ceramics, and works on paper from the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. The museum also maintains a comprehensive schedule of special exhibits. Large-scale contemporary sculpture enhances an adjacent outdoor garden. Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Sunday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
