The Duncannon Appalachian Trail Community supports and implements projectsand programs that enhance tourism opportunities for Duncannon as an outdoorrecreation destination and encourage all to get outside, enjoy nature andrecognize the connection between the health and abundance of the region'snatural assets and the vitality of its communities.The historic river town of Duncannon, situated at the junction of theSusquehanna River, Juniata River and the Kittatinny Ridge "Flyway," istreasured by thousands of thru-hikers, section-hikers, day-hikers and riverenthusiasts in Perry County, PA.  One of only a handful of small townsthrough which the Trail directly passes, Duncannon is well-known for itsviews from Hawk Rock as well as the friendliness, hospitality and generosityof local residents.
