Are you excited to learn about wild and native plants? An entire day will be dedicated to American ginseng. Learn about the large variety of plants staring back at you from the backyard, the local park, or the forests and mountains in the distance, it's actually really easy (and fun!) to begin to get to know the local plants of Northwest PA. Our experienced instructors will share with you the secrets of getting to know plants. Beyond just identification, we focus on building relationships with plants-how can we gather them, eat them, make medicines with them, or craft with them?  In this introduction weekend we will cover all the essential elements of beginning your journey getting to know the plants of your area.  Rustic lodging and whole-foods dining included. Take home a wild medicinal first aid kit.

You must pre-register by calling (814) 849-9662, emailing quietcreek@windstream.net or visiting http://www.quietcreekherbfarm.org/
