The Lackawanna River Corridor Association will host its annual Canoe-a-thon, Duck-a-thon and Regatta events under the umbrella name, Riverfest. A full day of river activities, music, food, educational and environmental displays and fun for all ages! Experienced canoeists, kayakers and casual paddlers, will be out on the Lackawanna River. Canoes will leave from two up-valley sites-Mellow Park, Keystone Avenue in Blakely and Maslyar Park, Laurel Street in Archbald and arrive at the Scranton Finish Line. You can participate in the paddle or meet them at the Riverfest Finish Line-West Olive Street near Scranton High School. Live music starts at noon. Good food and fun for the whole family will be available all day long. Admission is free for Finish Line activities. Regional bands will provide the entertainment.
