Since 1950, the Kutztown Folk Festival has been a recognized name in celebrating Pennsylvania Dutch culture. With activities and entertainment geared toward the entire family, this nine-day festival, hailed by the Washington Post as a "Must See," named one of America's Top Celebrations by USA Today, and voted one of American Bus Association's Top 100 Events for 2015, has something for everyone.
Every year, over 130,000 visitors flock to the oldest folklife festival in America for Pennsylvania Dutch food of every variety, the largest traditional quilt sale in the nation, craft demonstrations, historical reenactments, traditional music, and dancing. Children enjoy Noah's World animal park, hay mazes, do-it-yourself mural paintings, rides, and their own children's stage.
