American pianist Jeremy Denk has built a reputation as a compelling artist who performs a broad repertoire. "Mr. Denk, clearly, is a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs, in whatever combination - both for his penetrating intellectual engagement with the music and for the generosity of his playing," writes a New York Times critic. Denk, who often performs as a soloist with America's great orchestras, is known for his particular devotion to the music of Baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach and American visionary Charles Ives. Ligeti/Beethoven, his Nonesuch recording debut released in 2012, paired works by György Ligeti and Ludwig van Beethoven.
