Wertz's Covered Bridge, located at the Berks County Heritage Center, is the longest single-span covered bridge in Pennsylvania. Stretching 204 feet acrosss the Tulpehocken Creek, it serves as a link between Bern and Spring Townships. It was erected in 1867 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Wertz's Bridge represents one of only five remaining covered bridges in Berks County.
