This Kingspost truss-type bridge is located on a rough gravel road and has a three-ton weight limit. It was built in 1875 and is 27'6" in length and 12'7" in width. It has a tin-covered gable roof, vertical siding on the walls and portals, is painted barn red inside and out. The bridge has cross-wise decking and rests on stone-and-mortar abutments. The Sprowls Bridge was temporarily closed in 2000 due to damage done by mining operations in the area. Repairs have since been made as the truss structure was severely twisted and wide cracks developed in the abutments.
