Wildlife can be seen everywhere in the park. Presque Isle is particularly known for its spring and summer bird migrations where over 330 specieis of birds have been noted. From beavers, snakes, turtles, deer, coyotes to great blue herons, tundra swans, loons, yellow warbles, purple martins and monarch butterflies, many types can be observed. The best way to see many of the critters that inhabit the park is on a guided pontoon boat ride in the lagoons, one of the most popular actitives in the park. There are also educational opportunites to take nature hikes, eco-paddles and eco- peddles with a naturalist to observe the wildlife and plantlife that surround you.
