Chester County Facilities & Parks Department is responsible for over 1,000,000 square feet of building space, 4600 acres of parkland, 12.3 miles of (open) regional trails, 95 County-owned bridges and the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Each with distinct features, Hibernia, Nottingham, Warwick and Wolf's Hollow County Parks, Springton Manor Farm and Black Rock Sanctuary were created to preserve natural, cultural and historical resources. The County also manages the Chester Valley Trail, Struble Trail, and the Schuylkill River Trail. Every season offers a variety of programs and recreational opportunities such as camping, multi-use trails, boating, fishing and play areas.
