Allegheny Outfitters is a canoe, kayak and backpacking livery located on one of America’s Wild and Scenic Rivers in the northwestern corner of the Pennsylvania Wilds. This family-run business prides itself on helping groups and individuals plan and execute authentic wilderness adventures on the Class I Allegheny River and in the stunning Allegheny National Forest. Allegheny Outfitters offers gear rentals, and guided and unguided backpacking, fishing and paddling trips that last anywhere from a single afternoon to eight days. The owners publish the Allegheny River Paddling Guide, operate the Allegheny River Wilderness Island Geo Trail, and also founded the annual Allegheny River Clean-Up. Allegheny Outfitters has won many awards for its customer service and stewardship efforts, including a Governor’s Keystone Tourism Award and a Champion of the Pennsylvania Wilds Award.
