Our home, a unique part of Franklin's Historical District, was built around 1874 by Robert G. Lamberton, an administrator from the Lamberton Bank of Oil City. Originally designed in the Italianate style, Lamberton remodeled his home in the Queen Anne style around 1890. It was later the home of his son, Chess Lamberton, a local banker who donated land to build the Franklin airport, which was named after him. The Lamberton House reflects its rich historic past with outstanding craftsmanship & special touches of artistry. It is filled with all the attributes that make a Victorian mansion so cozy; stained glass windows, diamond-bright beveled glass, intricately detailed hardwood floors, wainscoting and much more. Great care has been taken in its preservation. We invite you to visit our Bed & Breakfast for a quiet and relaxin stay within walking distance of downtown Franklin.
