Located on 117 acres, historic Fern Hall is a gracious country inn with nine bright spacious guest rooms. Fern Hall's history is unique. The land of Fern Hall was granted to Samuel Meredith, the first Treasurer of the United States. The deal was handled by Benjamin Franklin. In the 1820s the family of Sylvester Johnson, purchased the land and settled here on Crystal Lake. James, Robert and Edward Mead went on to found the Johnson & Johnson Company of Pharmaceutical fame. In 1916 James built his family retreat known as Fern Hall. Today, Fern Hall is home to our restaurant, Bed & Breakfast, and the Clubhouse of Scottish Glen, a scenic nine-hole daily fee golf course. The main residence, and the boat house on the shores of Crystal Lake, are perfect for special events, weddings, graduations, corporate retreats, family outings, film shoots, dinner, Sunday brunch or just a relaxing getaway. Private Family Suite available for up to five.
