The Independence Seaport Museum is a fun and educational place to explore our maritime heritage with the entire family! Take part in the interactive exhibits and watch a wooden boat being built in our working boatshop, Workshop on the Water! Climb aboard Admiral Dewey's 1892 cruiser, Olympia, or go below deck aboard World War II submarine, Becuna. Both vessels are National Historic Landmarks. he museum houses over 14,000 artifacts. Search for treasure in our Museum Store. The Museum is open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily and closed on major holidays.
