Lakemont Park has been a good-time place for people of all ages since 1894, first as a genteel "trolley park" for picnickers, tea dances, and reunions, and now as a combination amusement park and water park. Check out Leap-the-Dips, the world's oldest wooden roller coaster, built in 1902 and named a National Historic Landmark in 1996.
