Welcome to the PA Tourism Junto for Pennsylvania's Tourism Industry
The PA Tourism Junto (pronounced \ˈjən-(ˌ)tō\) is inspired by Pennsylvania’s own Benjamin Franklin and the club he established in 1727 for the mutual improvement of the community in Philadelphia. One of its chief purposes was to establish a meeting place for ideas for those with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for progress. Our PA Junto is no different. It is a marketplace of resources for those with an interest in advancing the state’s tourism economy and it serves as the “Welcome Center” for those interested in the wherewithal of the Pennsylvania Tourism Office.
This site is for you who are on the front-lines of Pennsylvania’s travel and tourism industry that has a total economic impact of $32.9 billion annually on the state’s economy. You provide the 433,000 travel- and tourism-related jobs for the Commonwealth’s residents. You generate the $3.4 billion in travel- and tourism-related state and local tax revenues that bolster the state and your local communities. And you are the reason over 175 million people travel to and within this great state every year.
