It’s also home to some of the most beautiful and pristine wild trout streams in the United States. Nestled in the quiet streams of clear running water and moss-covered rocks are wild trout just waiting to be fooled by anglers taunting them with their favorite hatch imitation. Many of these waters are known as Class A Wild Trout Streams. The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission does not stock these streams. These are streams that support a population of wild (naturally reproducing) trout of sufficient size and abundance to support a long-term and rewarding sport fishery.

These waters and their surroundings become equal to the fish caught when experiencing the solitude and relaxation of fishing one of Pennsylvania’s best wild trout waters.
